Spiceware Adds AI Feature to its Data Encryption Software ‘PII CDE’
2021.05.18
Spiceware, an award-winning data protection service provider, announced on May 18th that its ‘Spiceware on Cloud Collect, Detect, Encrypt’ (CDE) product now has an AI feature.
By utilizing the AI, Spiceware can automatically detect personal information to protect the data not only from external attacks but also from internal data breaches, a step up from other existing protection solutions in the market.
Spiceware’s AI technology can detect and manage personal information in real-time, regardless of data format or type, to provide a more robust environment. This allows for both technical and managerial protection against attacks.
The AI algorithm utilizes a semantic analysis supervised learning model to detect personal information in its encrypted form. This minimizes security risks by automatically detecting and reporting security incidents stemming from human errors, external/internal attacks, and more.
The supervised AI can automatically detect 90+ types of sensitive data as defined by the Personal Information Protection Commission and suggest a classification for the data based on sensitivity and importance. It can also analyze the data for inconsistencies like misplaced data type or content to provide safer protection and enable compliant use of the data.
Furthermore, by automatically detecting and reporting abnormal incidents to the data protection manager, Spiceware’s AI technology can greatly improve the productivity of data protection tasks.
In the event that personal information is included or revealed in an application or website URL when it shouldn’t be, the AI can analyze the incident to detect a data breach. It also enables immediate action by immediately notifying the data protection manager and updating the management system.
